Kaitlyn McConnell is the founder of Ozarks Alive, a cultural preservation project that documents regional people, places and history. Since 2015, she has penned and published hundreds of articles to preserve the region’s story for future generations. These efforts take her down many rural roads, including where she saw this barn in southwest Missouri.
