As Night Falls

 

 

Having tended

their business

of death,

 

revved up

the chain saws

of their caws

 

and sawed the day

down to darkness,

the crows

 

take their places

in the upper-

most branches

 

of an old

growth pine,

converging

 

in the solemn

brotherhood

of their murder.
