Kuchen by Candlelight

Kuchen without peach

becomes plum

until inside over

ripe becomes

here's what I have

            brown banana

            frozen raspberry

I light a candle

press crust into pan

place fruit discover

no sour cream

I substitute Greek

yogurt add chocolate

            light another taper

            wait, watch, hope

Heavy wet snow

winter too long

moonless night

light enough to catch

my dream

            this peach

            kuchen without
