Twining of a Creeper

Morning glories in the grass

growing sidelong

glancing at me

from between my feet.

I will be your latticed trellis,

with leaves like hearts

purple-intoned trumpets.

The heavens reach back

when you reach. Twine with my fingers

and let’s grab the sky.
