Green Hills Literary Lantern

Taos

This place

of light

so bright

it hurts,

clawing

its way down

adobe walls

like cats

on fire;

this place

not only

of eye-

dazzling light

dazing the glares

of artists

but of shadow

so god-

awfully black

with brute

presence,

it breathes.
