Missing the Longing, More Than The Longed For

missing the electricity,

the ache in  the arc of,

missing what

dissolves, the glint of

tangerine icicles in the

last blaze of light.  I

want to ache for the

press of flesh in tango,

the hypnosis of dark

bark eyes in a slithery

rumba, I'm wild to want

anything, to want hips

and lips I can't.  What

does it matter when

even if we were knocking

back wine in the velvet

of an old parked Chevy

or moving in a slow

bolero into another

world, longing would

be the end, not some

thing about to start.
