This piece is about energy.  I suppose this piece is like a puzzle, it poses a question.  Which figure is the most nervous?  The creature in the center with the new life in its womb?  The baby itself?  The figure looking towards it?  The figure looking back?  In other words, which makes us most nervous; the past, the present, or the future?
