We Don't Catch Any Fish, None At All
but we wave to a couple on a blue sailboat drifting down river,
and to a gentleman in a small tugboat,
pulling only his wake behind him on an easy morning to be friendly.
but we didn’t wave to the fisherman across the way.
he catches a sturgeon, about three feet long,
and takes pictures of himself,
fish in one hand,
camera phone in the other,
he is ten minutes posing himself with the fish.
It’s embarrassing,
even for the sturgeon.
